Lazer Autobody Spirit of Sport Minor Softball Award

The Lazer Autobody Spirit of Sport Awards are presented annually to athletes who have earned the respect of their teammates by continually and consistently displaying integrity, commitment and sportsmanship, and are catalysts in making everyone on the field of play feel like they belong.

U13 Boys & Girls

One (1) male* and one (1) female* athlete will receive a LAZER AUTOBODY SPIRIT OF SPORT AWARD along with a $250 cash prize!

Nomination Criteria

To be eligible for this award, the minor athlete:

  • is currently registered in U13 Softball.
  • consistently demonstrates teamwork, sportsmanship, dedication and fair play.

Nomination Process

  • LAZER AUTOBODY SPIRIT OF SPORT AWARD in Minor Softball nominations accepted July 01 – July 15, annually (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026).
  • All nomination forms must be submitted before midnight on July 15, annually.

Selection Process

  • LAZER AUTOBODY SPIRIT OF SPORT AWARD in Minor Softball recipients will be selected from the submitted finalists by an Awards Committee made up of the GHSC Management Co Chair, the division heads of the specified minor sport and a representative of Lazer Autobody.

Announcement

  • LAZER AUTOBODY SPIRIT OF SPORT AWARD in Minor Softball recipients will be announced on or before July 30 on social media and shared through direct communications distributed to all athletes and their families, coaches and other volunteers.
  • LAZER AUTOBODY SPIRIT OF SPORT AWARDS recipients will be updated on the website and awards wall within the Indoor Sports Training Centre by September 15, annually.

*Based on gender identity, non-binary athletes are asked to select the gender they are most comfortable matching up against.
