At Gordie Howe Sports Complex, we’re about rising to every challenge and tackling obstacles head on, because we know that adversity builds character. For over 60 years, we’ve been inspired by the attitudes of our athletes, whose will to be better pushes them further.
As a hub of sport in Saskatoon, we’ve seen history made here. Thousands of Saskatchewan athletes have come through our doors and onto our fields. And each of them has emerged better through every practice, every game and every test of perseverance.
The drive of our athletes has motivated us to transform this place into a world-class sports centre that is shared by Saskatoon and the surrounding area.

Many consider Dad the greatest hockey player ever, but greatness was never defined by goals in our house. Greatness meant being the best person you could be, not the best player. That’s what really excites us about the new Gordie Howe Sports Complex. It won’t just create better athletes — it will create better people.

The Gordie Howe Sports Complex believes that sport and community events have the power to bring people together, fostering understanding and unity. As a sporting complex promoting fair play and respectful competition, we acknowledge that our shared history with Indigenous Peoples include both times of collaboration and times of great conflict and enduring consequence.
We acknowledge and honor the deep and continued connections First Nation and Metis peoples have to the land we are situated on, which have existed for countless generations. As a gathering place on Treaty 6 land, the Gordie Howe Sports Complex understands the significant role we play in the community, especially for the well-being and growth of children, youth, and families.
