SMF Field site for high school, flag and Kinsmen action

It is going to be a great week for football here at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex.

The opening week of regular season play kicks off this week for high school football. For the first time since 2019, games been school teams will hit the turf at Saskatoon Minor Football Field on Opening Day on Thursday.

High school action continues on Friday.

On Saturday, the Saskatoon Minor Football Flag League action takes over SMF Field, and the Kinsmen Football League continues its campaign with a slate of games on Sunday.

Here is how the football schedule is shaping up for this week at SMF Field:

Thursday, September 16
High school football tripleheader – 3 p.m., 5:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Friday, September 17
High school football four game set – 12:45 p.m., 3 p.m., 5:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 18
Saskatoon Minor Football Flag League – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday, September 19
Kinsmen Football League – 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
