Environment Canada issues extreme cold warning

OVAL CLOSED – Due to the frigid conditions and the extreme cold warning issued by Environment Canada, the Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

As always, the Oval is closed today and every Friday for maintenance.

For Saturday, Environment Canada is predicting it will be -46 C with wind chill allowing frostbite to occur in minutes. Please take care out there.

The Oval will reopen, when the weather heats up a little.
