Developments at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex are raising the standard of excellence in football.

The Saskatoon Minor Football (SMF) Field at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex has been the site of friendly high school rivalries for decades, feeding all senior levels of football, including the Saskatoon Hilltops, Valkyries, University of Saskatchewan Huskies and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Transformed from a ‘mud bowl’ into the largest artificial turf field in Canada and most desirable sports field in the city, SMF Field now provides our community with 10x more playing time, allowing many more teams, sports groups and younger athletes to benefit from the world-class facilities.

In addition to enhancing the sport experience for everyone involved – players, parents, coaches and spectators, the improved facilities have set a new standard of excellence in football programming.

Cody Halseth, Football Saskatchewan, shares his excitement around continued development at the Complex in the video below.
