Instrumental in building the sport of softball locally, the Saskatoon Amateur Softball Association (SASA) is proud to support the 66-acre Gordie Howe Sports Complex. Since 2013, the Association has generously donated $20,000 towards upgrades and expansion at the park, and $375,000 worth of equipment.

Having been involved with softball in Saskatoon for most of his life, Mark Loehndorf, Events Manager for the Gordie Howe Sports Complex, understands first-hand the need for more safe, appropriate sporting facilities in Saskatoon.

Upgrades to existing facilities, the addition of a ticket centre and 2 new practice fields for softball and baseball will help fill the need locally for more fields,” Mark says. “We’re all really excited about the prospect of attracting more national and international events to Saskatoon.

THANK YOU to the Saskatoon Amateur Softball Association for growing opportunities in our community for athletes of all ages, levels and abilities to succeed on the ball field, and in life!
