Thanks for making time on ice great

It was a great outdoor season for skating, but unfortunately, all good things come to an end.

The Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval closed for the season today.

The crew at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex thanks all users that came out to enjoy the Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval. The season was a memorable one as skaters were able to use the newly opened K+S Potash Canada Multi-sport Centre.

Skaters were able to change into their skates there or go into the Multi-sport Centre to warm up in during bitterly cold days.

You, the skaters that came out from the community, did an outstanding job making time spent at the Oval great for everyone. The staff at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex appreciates everything you did for the success of the skating season.

We look forward to the Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval’s return next winter and making the next skating season even better.
