Skating surface will shut down Tuesday, March 1

The Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval is in its final days for the 2021-22 season.

Skaters will be able to enjoy the Oval for one final weekend before it closes for the season on Tuesday, March 1.

The Oval will be open for public skating this Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. It will be open one last day on Monday, February 28 with public skating running from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The crew at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex thanks all users that came out to enjoy the Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval. The season was a memorable one as skaters were able to use the newly opened K+S Potash Canada Multi-sport Centre.

Skaters were able to change into their skates there or go into the Multi-sport Centre to warm up in during bitterly cold days.

We hope you will all come out and enjoy the Oval for the last public skating sessions of the season on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
