Masters track athlete and world-record breaker Margaret Tosh looks forward to competing at Saskatoon’s new track and field facilities at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex.

The 80 year-old Tosh has been involved in track and field for well over 50 years. To say she’s still involved would be an incredible understatement.

Earlier this month Tosh broke 6 Canadian and 3 world records in her age category – for javelin, weight and the pentathlon (hammer, shot, discus, javelin & weight.)

Upon learning another athlete surpassed her throws just four days later at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Spain, Tosh said:

“I had four days of glory. Second best in the world is not bad.”

I’ll say!

Hear what Tosh has to say about the future track and field facilities at the Gordie howe Sports Complex:
