The next satellite image of the Gordie Howe Sports Complex on Google Maps will show a lot of Beynon red.

Construction at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex has progressed right on schedule with the help of great weather. The first two coats of Beynon Sports’ Olympic-caliber BSS 2000 track surface have already been installed on the new track and runway lanes of the long, triple, pole vault and exchange zone.

Johnny Marciniuk, Friends of the Bowl Foundation, explains the process for installing the rubber surface, and provides updates on preparations for the Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval, progress on the Indoor Sports Training & Developent Centre, new Ticket Centre and 6-bay storage garage at Bob Van Impe Stadium.
